SST 356

SST 356 is a new cultivar for the farmer who wants to reduce his input costs while obtaining excellent yields. SST 356 is a high yield potential cultivar with good disease resistance for most of the economically important pests in the winter wheat growing areas, such as Russian Wheat Aphid (Biotype 1) and yellow rust.

  • A well adapted, good quality cultivar for all the Central and Eastern Free State winter wheat production areas.
  • A medium growth period which is ideally suited for earlier and late plantings.

Elands

Elands has a medium growth period that is well adapted to the medium to high potential winter wheat production areas of the Free State. Elands is marketed by Sensako under license from the ARC.

  • Moderately susceptible to yellow rust.
  • Good resistance to the Russian Wheat Aphid (Biotype 1).
  • Planting can be done at medium to late planting dates, providing the farmer with flexibility when planting.
  • Good sprouting tolerance.
  • Good milling and baking quality.
