SUMO Mutant Wheat Lines Trials – Association of Applied Biologists
In October 2019 we published an article highlighting how the SUMO wheat lines developed by Professor Anna-Maria Botha-Oberholster from Stellenbosch University are looking promising.
A Sensako team, led by Stefan de Groot, is in the process of evaluating these wheat lines to quantify their response to stressful environments. These mutant lines should dramatically improve plant growth and yield under stressful environments.
In the Association of Applied Biologists July 2020 newsletter (page 4) the Stellenbosch University and Sensako SUMO wheat lines trials are mentioned.
